The House Music scene is now in utter shock and dismay upon hearing about the death of the famed singer/songwriter Colonel Abrams who passed away November 25, 2016. EarHustle411 confirmed the death of Mr. Colonel Abrams from Tony “Tune Herbert who is a Community Advocate in New York who posted on Facebook hearing about his untimely death.
We spoke briefly with Mr. Herbert and he has the following to say about Colonel Abrams:
Colonel Abrams was a very talented and committed artist to his craft, he will be terribly missed but thankfully his music will live on for us to enjoy for many years to come!!!!…….Community Advocate Tony “Tune” Herbert
Abrams was a very talented musician who musical credits included “Trapped”, Music Is The Answer, I’m Not Gonna Let You. Anyone who has followed the music of Colonel Abrams instantly loses their mind upon hearing the intro to his classic tracks. Abrams led a life filled with music for his entire life and was even privilege to have played with the iconic and legendary Prince another talent whom the industry has lost this past April.
Colonel Abrams from what we gathered was a very private person and not many knew what adversities he was going through but in 2015, he received some much needed help due to him being homeless and required important medical attention. EarHustle411 is unaware of the medical concerns troubling Mr. Abrams, but according to Mr.Herbert he had finally agree to accept the assistance needed to sustain his life.
To say the music industry has lost an impeccable musician would be an understatement. EarHustle411 and the writing staff sends our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Colonel Abrams. We pray that the Creator of all things gives them strength and peach within themselves as they go through this unfortunate loss of life.
