Governor Pat Quinn recently signed a bill in Illinois which allows same sex couple to be legally married and will become legal effective June 1, 2014. A judge granted early permission for Patricia Ewert and Vernita Gray to marry yesterday due Gray diagnoses of terminal cancer. This is the first same sex marriage in Illinois. Congratulations to Patricia Ewert and Verntia Gray on your recent marriage.
