Bomb Detonates Outside The NAACP Office In Colorado Springs Suspect Is Being Sought After

The FBI has released information about a potential person of interest after an IED detonated outside the Colorado Springs office of the NAACP.

The explosion happened at around 10:45 a.m. on January 6, 2015.

The building is located in the 600 block of S. El Paso Street and houses other businesses.

The FBI says the device was placed against an exterior wall of the building, with a gas can placed next to it. The explosion did minor damage to the outside of the building, but the gas inside the gas can did not ignite. No one was hurt.

The FBI says the potential person of interest in this investigation is a Caucasian male, approximately 40 years of age and balding.

He may be driving a 2000 or older model dirty, white pick-up truck with paneling, a dark-colored bed liner, open tailgate, and a missing or covered license plate.
