Black Southern Clergy Forgave Dylan Roof For Murder But Afaid to Let Minister Farrakhan Use Their Establishments For His Speech

#Black lives matter has taken a wing of its own and has brought many people of all color and creed together.  The unity among blacks are getting stronger and stronger everyday and with modern technology, social media has propelled the movement along much further than anticipated.

For those that have benefitted from slavery and are continuing to benefit, this comes as a threat to their economic power.  Those with white privilege are fearful of the organization of black people as a whole because they know what power blacks possess once they come together as a collective unit.

Minister Louis Farrakhan has added a twist to the movement with his ” Justice or Else” Campaign which is the motto for the 20th commemoration of the Million Man March held 20 years ago in 1995.  Farrakhan has adapted this motto to be used in Washington D.C on October 10th 2015 and many feel that the ” Or Else” portion of the Motto will insight riots and violence.

Farrakhan is quoted as saying , “Let them continue to kill to live and bury our children while white folks give the killer hamburgers… Retaliation is prescribed in matters of the slave. So, if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stop them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling,”

According to the The Final Call  Newspaper, Minister Farrakhan was scheduled to visit and speak in Charleston, SC as part of his tour and also to pay respect to the 9 innocent people killed by Dylan Roof at Mother Emanuel AME Church. However it’s been stated in the article that those responsible for making the decisions on whether he speaks or not worked diligently to block the use of public facilities which would be used by Farrakhan to hold his speeches.

Per Rolling Out, Even Churches that were approached to hold the event had stipulations. According to Farrakhan, “We went to another church to speak and they rejected me again; we went to three churches … one church was willing to let me come, but said, ‘You got to sign a paper that you not going to say nothing controversial.’”

According to The Final Call, it was Bishop Brian D. Moore of Life Central Cathedral who demanded these requirements because “He did not want to have to explain any so-called inflammatory statements after Min. Farrakhan left the city.” In response to Black pastors such as Bishop Moore, Farrakhan stated, “A scared to death preacher can’t boast in Christ. A preacher that fears the powers that are contemporary, and dismisses the power of him who is eternally in power, is not fit to stand before the people of God…This is the time when all false men and women will be sat down.”

Once again, the black church representation in Charleston are afraid of what the white man will say or how he will treat them after Farrakhan leaves Charleston.  They forgave Dylan Roof within 48 hours of killing 9 innocent black people and asked that everyone else forgives him yet they block a man of prestige and honor from speaking up for his people.  Who’s side are they really on?
