In case you needed another reason to vote for Bernie Sanders, how about because he is the only candidate that isn’t a complete and utter phony. Bernie recently proved this upon meeting with a woman who had spread slanderous lies against the beloved Vermont Senator.
It all began when Sanders announced on “The View” that he was invited by the Vatican to attend a conference about social and economic issues. Immediately after Sanders made his announcement, senior Vatican official Margaret Archer spoke out against Sanders, claiming that he invited himself to the conference and that he had provided a “monumental discourtesy” by claiming that he was invited.
Archer continued:
Sanders Immediately silenced Archer by releasing the actual invitation he had received from the Vatican, and Vatican officials also came forward to say that Archer has misrepresented the church by making false claims against the Senator.
The Chancellor of Academy, Bishop Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo released this statement in an attempt to smooth over the waves that Archer had caused:
“We are interested in having him because we have two presidents coming from Latin America, I thought it would be good to have an authoritative voice from North America.”
So when Bernie had the unfortunate opportunity to meet Margaret Archer yesterday, he could have been a political robot, smiling and shaking hands, or he could have been real. Let’s just say, Bernie didn’t disappoint. Senator Sanders shook hands with a man who then pointed out his seat to him. As Sanders walked towards his seat, Archer is seen rising from her seat and moving toward Sanders in an attempt to greet him.
Sanders, however, wanted nothing to do with Archer after what she had attempted to do to his reputation in the media. Bernie walked right past Archer, not even acknowledging her presence, and shook hands with a guy who looks an awful lot like Erik Estrada from “CHiPs,” Bolivian President Evo Morales.
