A Homeless Child Lay Freezing To Death On The Streets & Only One Person Stops To Help; Check Out Who It Was!

A Homeless Child Lay Freezing To Death On The Streets & Only One Person Stops To Help. Check Out Who It Was!

In the world today, the number of homeless people grow by the minute. While parents lose their jobs, more and more children are abandoned and left on the streets to beg money for food. As life gets harder, they lose friends on the way until they are left alone to support themselves with nothing.

Well-to-do people tend to ignore homeless people regardless of how pitiful they look. These people do not know how it feels to be dirt poor when homeless people hot rock bottom. Who else to comfort and help homeless people than the same people who are in the same situation?

In this social experiment, a child is left outside in freezing temperatures. He only had a shirt on his back, and a garbage bag to keep him warm from the deadly breeze. While people merely passed by without even giving him a second look for 2 hours, a man approached the child. Though he was homeless himself, he gave his jacket to the boy and comforted him with words the child will never forget in his life.

Like so many things, it just takes one person to make a difference!

I just don’t know how you walk pass a person, especially a child, who is standing out in the freezing cold, and just ignore them. Someone could have brought him a coat and a hot chocolate or offered to get him some help from somewhere; I will never understand him not getting any help until the homeless man came along. Its like when my family, was poor, living in Newark, NJ with other poor families, we always would share and look out for one another. It seems that the more people get, the worse they get.

It’s because it looks like a scam. The kid isn’t believable. His tattered shirt is something out of a bad production of Oliver Twist. Even the garbage bag thing is weird. It wasn’t real, and people could tell. It wasn’t that they didn’t care. It was just that the production value of this “social experiment” was crap. And frankly it was probably more about click baiting for ad revenue than changing the world.

I’m inclined to agree– except that I have seen a lot of unbelievable things in my life and I would rather be conned for a moment, than let someone potentially die because I’m too sophisticated to fall for that trick. Be a little bit gullible, folks, and you might find yourself doing something good when you weren’t expecting to.

Real or not would you atleast ask him if he was ok? It shows humans are too worried about themselves to even care!!

I see what you mean. More than anything I think New Yorkers see SO MUCH that we have truly developed a sense for what doesn’t quite add up. If I saw this I might be suspicious…. especially with the way all those people noticed them filming and looked directly into the camera. He’s also on 34th street…. it’s all suspicious looking BUT this still touched me.

Come ON! One person give a toque, one person give a pair of gloves, one person give a shirt, etc, etc. Only takes 5, maybe 6 people to clothe the poor child.
Capitalism has failed us as a people. Taught us selfishness.

They should get the guy a job working with homeless children in shelters. All the other people who just walked by him and I hope you see yourself doing it. Should just go crawl in there own hole and never come out. You have disgraced our country!! As a Marine I was told never leave women and children behind.. all of you where so about your own selfs what would $20 be so he could get a sweatshirt and something to eat. I would have gotten him a hotel for the night as well as dinner and found him a shelter or foster home where he would be wanted and lived. God Bless and hope some learn a valuable lesson from this..

    Pissed off American!!!

This was a total scam. I understand that the child was in on it because he’s miked and that he was out there for only a few minutes. Many people stopped to help him but the camera people waved them away. Everyone walking by saw the cameraman and the camera. Did anyone watching this bullshit even wonder why the person filming didn’t just drop the goddamned camera and help the child instead of standing there nice and warm for “two hours”? If anybody exposes anyone, especially a child, to hypothermia only to prove that people are heartless, then they are the heartless, cynical ones and should be thrown in jail. This whole “experiment” really pisses me off.

Were you there on the sidewalk too? Other social studies confirm what this video shows. It takes one person to step up and changes the dynamics of others. As in the woman who was chased down on a bridge by a man she had cut off when driving. (Not an experiment) He went after her with a baseball bat and everyone stood around watching as she climbed over the railing to get away from him but doing nothing to help her. Until one man did step up to try to help her with others following his lead. I believe she fell off the bridge & drowned trying to escape her assaulter.

It is sick how selfish and consumed society is. Everyone walking by with GAP bags and loaded with shopping. Certainly they could have bought him a coat even second hand. Marrying a man who came from nothing, I watch him open his wallet to every one. Scam or not, it doesn’t matter. Give!!!!!

I’ve read all of these comments, what amazes me the most, is that a majority of you could care less about the point of the experiment. Its entire purpose. This is why I shake my head, because in today’s world, using your heart before your head is almost unheard of. These guys just proved that. So did most of you. Congrats, you know so much about not knowing a damned thing. Good job

Why is it always up to one person? Why can’t we, as people, make the difference in what we helped create? When will humans understand the meaning of humanity?

We are all members of the human race and citizens of the world. If we don’t take of each other, who will. I just had an encounter with a woman holding a sign at the light at WalMart asking for money for rent. It was 8 degrees and a wind chill. Everyone was calling her horrid names. I stopped and talked to her. She was going to be evicted if she did not come up with the money. She showed me the eviction notice and her ID. Being a former real estate paralegal (now disabled with MS and on a limited income) I knew that the eviction notice was valid so I gave her the money to get current and not tossed out of her apartment along with her 3 small children. She gave me the most powerful hug I had ever received. People began to call me names. I don’t understand.

We all know humans are getting selfish and cold by the minute, what is the point of these videos? To inspire people to be poor? To let us know how mean we are? What is the point? The further away from God, the more horrible we get.
